Rafimeta, JSC has commenced the project nr. 03.3.2-LVPA-K-837-02-0053 'Modernisation of equipment owned by Rafimeta, JSC by implementing technological eco-innovations" financed from the European Regional Development Fund.

The project budget: EUR 653 800,00, of which the EU share is  EUR 294 210,00

Beginning of implementation of activities: 11. April 2018

Planet completion if activities: 10. April 2020

The purpose of the project - to implement technological eco-innovations and activities for Rafimeta, JSC to reduce the negative consequences of climate change and greenhouse effect.

The task of the project - to implement technological eco-innovation processes in the company's business by buying separation, flow and sorting equipment

Rafimeta, JSC was established on 2 March 2016. The main activity of the company is recycling of sorted material. This class includes the recycling of metallic and non-metallic waste, scrap and other products into secondary raw materials. The company was founded and operates at the address: Palemono str. 1, Kaunas City Municipality, Kaunas City.

Rafimeta, JSC collects and recycles non-hazardous waste in Europe and the CIS countries. The company's goal is to recycle obsolete electronic devices. The company helps ensure proper waste logistics from the desired location and guarantees proper recycling of discarded electronic equipment.

The purchased equipment will allow the company to produce a cleaner product with less impurities, so the final selling price of the product will increase significantly. Currently, the company has limited opportunities to shred electronic boards and other purchased raw waste and split the streams of raw with the help of available equipment. The purity of the resulting product averages 50%. With the introduction of technological improvements, it is planned that the purity of the product can be increased to 85%.
